REACH – the Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals Regulations – takes effect on 1 June 2007. The Regulations are aimed at ensuring a high level of protection for human health and the environment from the supply and use of chemicals. The Regulations apply to all chemicals classified as dangerous whether as individual substances or components of preparations and articles.

 

REACH is likely to have a significant impact on many businesses - not just those companies manufacturing and supplying chemicals, but all downstream users as well.
