The company was founded in 1995 by Principal consultant and Managing Director Andy Gillies. Andy is a senior Occupational Hygienist and Environmental consultant who has over 25 years of practical experience. Following an extensive career in industry, first with the British Steel Corporation and then with The Dow Chemical Company (with a short spell as a consultant with Thomson Laboratories in-between), Andy has worked as an independent consultant since 1995. He has worked with clients from many sections of manufacturing industry and the service sectors, and has particular knowledge of the chemicals, engineering, pharmaceuticals, food processing and NHS sectors.

Andy holds MSc’s in both Occupational Hygiene and Environmental Management. He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene of BOHS and is past President of the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) 2006-2007and an associate member and registered auditor with the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
